Hypno for Children & Teenagers...
If your child is having some difficulties in life that maybe emotional or psychological in nature, such as bed wetting, bullying, low self-esteem, to name a few, then there are some very effective techniques that can be used to help them.
At some point during their childhood, every child will experience some type of upset or emotional problem. Children react in many different ways according to what they have experienced. Examples are reclusiveness, anxiety, fear, aggression, nightmares and bed wetting. Often, children will bottle it up inside, not knowing how to deal with their experience, or who to talk to about it. When this situation arises, and is left untreated, it can cause no end of emotional upset during their childhood years, even advancing into adulthood.

How Does It Work?
First of all, we recognise that children and teenagers are overcome with emotions and feelings that they have no idea how to deal with. Because children lack the understanding of these emotions, they don't know which way to turn.
All of these feelings are new for the child, and because they are new, this ends up with the child becoming confused.
When a child is confused about their feelings, they have to have an outlet, or some other way to vent their frustration. This is usually because they don't know how to express their feelings or emotions.
Some children become recluses because they may feel overshadowed at home or at school. Because they don't know how to express themselves, or they feel that they may not be believed, or taken notice of, they may go inside themselves.
Why Hypnotherapy?
Usually the first port of call that parents use is to see their local GP, who will then refer them onto a councillor, or a psychotherapist. Although this may sometimes help, it can also add more worry and anxiety into the child. As the child is already frightened and emotionally confused, being asked to explain their feelings, and justify their actions and things that they can't make any sense of, can have an adverse effect.
The hypnotherapy session is very relaxed with a totally non-judgemental therapist in comfortable surroundings. The child will not be asked to justify themselves at any time. Instead, using specially developed techniques, they will be able to express themselves using their imagination, in a way that they understand, thus giving them a new outlet for their feelings. A child's imagination is amazing, and by using it, they can achieve great things. Using hypnotherapy, they are shown how to use it for their benefit. Some children may only need one session, whereas others may need more, all depending on their situation. Every child is different.
With the child being in comfortable, relaxed surroundings, they find it easy to express their new found emotions that they are unable to express elsewhere.
The sessions are really enjoyable, for both the child, and the parents (and the therapist), and usually end up with the child and their parents having a much closer, stronger, understanding and loving relationship.
